TEDxGranta Telling Stories
TEDxGranta has been established to run independent TED-style sessions in Cambridge.
We’re extremely pleased to be hosted by CamCreative for our first TEDxGranta salon
When: Wednesday, 26th October from 7.00pm
Where: at B Bar, Market Passage, Cambridge, CB2 3PF.
What’s a TEDxSalon?
A TEDxSalon is a smaller, informal event than the grand all-day events you’re likely familiar with. Small but perfectly formed, as they feature all the things that make TEDx events great: Enthralling live speakers, streamed TEDTalks, and thoughtful discussions. Our salon event will feature one local speaker and two filmed TEDTalks.
Tell me about Telling Stories
It’s with great pleasure that we announce a joint event with CamCreative on the theme of Telling Stories. CamCreative is a gathering of people from all walks of creative endeavour in the Cambridge area, and the evening promises to be full of literature, photography, comics and laughs.
Our main speaker will be Cathy Moore, founder of the Cambridge Wordfest literary festival. Cathy is the founder and director of Cambridge Wordfest, Cambridge’s first and only literary festival. Responsible, over the last 10 years, for bringing hundreds of the country’s key writers and opinion formers to talk in Cambridge. As it happens, the Winter Wordfest is just around the corner in chilly November, so follow Wordfest on Twitter to stay up to date as their plans develop.
Cathy Moore will be taking a literary angle on the Telling Stories theme. Her talk will be complemented by two TEDTalks focusing on telling stories through photography and the comic book format. Expect an informal event with lots of opportunities for discussions, networking and friendly banter along the way!
